Tekvaly is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer – (AI Systems), in Canada for its client.

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will design, train, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models, including rule-based systems, knowledge representation, reasoning engines, expert systems, planning and decision systems, and generative AI, to solve real-world problems.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models (classification, regression, NLP, vision, recommendation, etc.).
• Work with rule-based systems, knowledge representation, reasoning engines, expert systems, and planning/decision systems to build hybrid AI solutions.
• Develop and optimize Generative AI models and pipelines for text, code, or multimodal use cases.
• Build and maintain end-to-end data and ML pipelines (data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring).
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to turn business problems into applied AI solutions.
• Monitor model performance, detect drift, and iterate on models and features.
• Contribute to the AI platform and MLOps infrastructure (pipelines, model registry, deployment, observability).

Requirements

• Proven experience as an ML Engineer, working with AI and Generative AI solutions.
• Solid understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI concepts and techniques.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML/DL libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, LightGBM, and Hugging Face Transformers.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud ML services (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google Vertex AI).
• Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines for ML.
• Experience with data pipelines and SQL, and working with large datasets on cloud data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, etc.).
• Experience translating business problems into scalable AI/ML solutions and deploying models in production environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
