As an IAM Engineer, you will own identity as a core security control across cloud, SaaS, and enterprise platforms, enabling Zero Trust access while balancing security, scalability, and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support enterprise IAM platforms with a strong focus on secure multi-factor authentication and authorization.
- Own and evolve identity lifecycle management (joiner, mover, leaver), driving consistency, automation, and risk reduction.
- Implement and maintain SSO, MFA, federation, and Role-based access control (RBAC).
- Integrate IAM capabilities with applications, platforms, and services across the organization.
- Support and enhance privileged access management and access review/recertification processes.
- Analyze IAM-related events, access patterns, and process gaps to identify risk, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the use of intelligent automation and analytics to improve identity governance, access decisions, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with security, IT, cloud, and application teams to embed IAM into day-to-day technology workflows.
- Maintain clear technical documentation and operational standards.
- Stay current on IAM trends, including identity threat detection, automation, and AI-assisted access controls.
Requirements:
- Professional working experience in Identity & Access Management or identity-focused security engineering.
- Strong practical knowledge of authentication, authorization, and access control models.
- Experience implementing SSO, MFA, and identity federation using modern IAM platforms.
- Solid understanding of identity protocols (SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth).
- Experience with privileged access management and access governance processes.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and hybrid identity environments.
- Exposure to identity analytics, risk-based access, or AI-assisted security controls.
- CISSP or equivalent security certification, and IAM platform certifications (Okta, SailPoint, Ping, or ForgeRock) are considered an asset. Cloud or identity automation certifications are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Secuirty, or a related field required or equivalent combination of industry-related professional experience and education.
