As a Data Scientist, you will work end-to-end: from understanding the business problem and exploring data, to building models (including NLP and LLM based solutions) and communicating results to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Explore, clean, and prepare structured and unstructured data using Python and SQL to support analytics and ML use cases.
- Design, build, and evaluate machine learning models (classification, regression, clustering, recommendation, time series).
- Develop and apply NLP and Generative AI techniques (LLMs, embeddings, text classification, summarization, chatbots) to real business problems.
- Run experiments and A/B tests, select appropriate metrics, and quantify business impact.
- Build dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data engineers, ML engineers, and product teams to productionize successful models and ensure they are monitored and improved over time.
- Stay current with new AI/ML techniques (including LLMs and GenAI) and evaluate their applicability to our use cases.
Requirements:
- Strong Python skills, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and experience writing efficient, production-oriented code.
- Solid experience with SQL and working with large datasets in cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks).
- Hands-on experience building and evaluating ML models; good understanding of model validation, metrics, and avoiding common pitfalls (leakage, bias, overfitting).
- Experience with NLP or Generative AI (e.g., LLMs, Hugging Face, OpenAI/Claude/Gemini APIs, LangChain, text analytics, embeddings) is a strong plus.
- Strong foundation in statistics and experimentation (hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, A/B testing).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and basic ML deployment workflows in collaboration with ML/AI engineers.
- Experience with dashboards/BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Exposure to MLOps tools (MLflow, Airflow, Kubeflow) or working closely with ML engineers on deployment and monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills; able to translate technical findings into clear recommendations for product and business teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
