Phenologix is looking for a dynamic and result-driven Business Development Manager on a contract basis in Canada.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading strategic growth initiatives, driving custom software sales, and building high-impact client relationships across local and international markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth in custom software sales, staff augmentation, and secure high-value contracts, both locally and offshore.
  • Lead and manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualifying leads, connecting presentations, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
  • Identify and acquire new business opportunities through diverse channels such as market research, cold outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email marketing, appointment setting, and networking.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent generation of high-quality leads and measurable conversion rates.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to generate qualified leads and secure client contracts, showcasing a track record of delivering results.
  • Design and deliver compelling presentations and tailored proposals that highlight the company’s value proposition, expertise, technology solutions, and services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system, tracking leads, client interactions, opportunities, and providing precise sales forecasts.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to analyze trends, identify growth opportunities, and understand potential client needs, enabling customized solutions.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong, long-term client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics (KPIs), refining strategies and sales approaches to achieve and surpass business targets.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales and Business Development, with a focus on the software or tech sales industry, including custom software sales and staff augmentation.
  • Proven experience in generating leads, acquiring clients, and closing high-value contracts across local and international markets.
  • Expertise in using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho), and other business development platforms for effective outreach and lead management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to build trust and establish credibility with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a target-driven environment, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
  • Well-connected technology influencer with a strong industry network to facilitate introductions and accelerate business growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education.
